O’Brien’s Restaurant & Bar in Clayton is looking for an EXPERIENCED Line Cook to join our team full time, year round!
We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a busy kitchen and can keep up in a very fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, efficient and able to stay focused when the orders are coming in fast.
As a Line Cook, you’ll work closely with the rest of our kitchen team to prepare and plate quality food quickly and consistently while keeping your station clean, stocked and ready for service.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and cooking menu items to order
Working efficiently during high-volume lunch and dinner service
Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
Setting up, stocking and maintaining your station
Following recipes, portioning and food preparation standards
Keeping work areas clean, organized and sanitized
Following proper food handling, health and safety procedures
Communicating and working as a team with other kitchen staff
Assisting with prep, restocking and cleanup as needed
Previous line cook/kitchen experience is REQUIRED. You must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and able to handle the physical demands of a BUSY restaurant kitchen.
