Good morning friends and families. Our official lease ends on Tuesday, 30 June, but we will close our doors to customers at the end of business on Sunday, 28 June, to prepare for our departure. On Tuesday evening, we will close and lock our doors for the last time.
For me, I don't know how to explain the feelings of this closure compared to my retirement from the military. After 29 years of service, multiple deployments, two wars, and losing friends there. I carry their memories with me all these days.
This closure of our business is different. It's more personal. We have had our customers and friends coming to our shop since the beginning. Many are still here. We hosted many, many groups and organizations, and became a part of our communities. Our shop wouldn't have been what it is now without you and our staff. Our girls helped us build this business. Without them, things would've been very different, too. I have gone to their high schools, college graduations, and even a wedding. Sadly, I have also attended funeral services of our customers who have passed on.
The sadness weighs heavily on us, and the memories, the great memories will stay with us for the rest of our days. We love you all so much.
