Eats and Treats in the LCV

With a busy work week right before Christmas I relied on a Facebook post to find treats. Thank goodness i did! I ordered treats from Merlin Abbott. She made the best gingerbread cookies and rolls ever!!!! My daughter approved the chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles. It was a great working with her, easy transaction and good customer service

She is in the process of opening a business named Abbott Garden and Oven. If you see her advertising her sweets, do yourself a favor and get some. You won't be disappointed

Saturday I was Christmas shopping and getting hangry! 😂 I'm not a fast food fan but didn't have time to sit down anywhere. I decided to try out The Big Shrimpin' food truck located in the Carlton food truck area.
I ordered the sweet and heat shrimp tacos! They nailed it. The sauce was yummy. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, lightly breaded and just the right amount of slaw. The customer service was even outstanding. I will be back multiple times 😋

So this might be a little different but if your life is as busy as mine you understand grocery store deli. Chicken strips are a favorite in my household. My daughter could eat them daily.
Today we decided on Rosauers because they are usually hot and juicy. We appreciate that they are lightly breaded and a bargain price for the meal. The picture shown was $9.99. I appreciate that i can choose my sides ranging from jo-jos to garden salad with lots of options in between

I will say that I usually get another chicken strip but the customer service tonight was lacking. Actually the worst service I've ever received there. I do realize people have off days so I won't slam her but will pay attention to see if it happens next time.

Overall, I will return. We think they are some of the best chicken strips in the valley and with all the different sides available, for a very reasonable price, you can't go wrong.. Its hard to beat for those quick, need something now, off to practice meals.

The boss and I both miss the food truck something fierce. Unfortunately I can't bring it back but I can bring back a favorite for a day. We will be selling our fabulous CARROT CAKE for Easter! This is a fundraiser for Paislee's All Star Cheer. Cakes will be made fresh on March 29 with pick up on Saturday 30th. Pre-order only with payment due at order. $40 no nuts, $45 with nuts. DM to order. Limited quantity.
