Well... we did it.

In two days, we tore apart the bar, moved everything around, and somehow ended up with a kitchen that feels twice the size.

The funny thing is we didn't actually add any space. We just realized we weren't using the space we already had as well as we could.

This whole project was about one thing: making room to grow.

Bigger fridge. Bigger freezer. Bigger oven.

More bread. More pastries. More cinnamon rolls.

Thank you all for keeping us so busy that we had to start rearranging walls and furniture to keep up. 🖤🤍

Next up: bigger oven. 👀

I’ve been testing and tweaking this recipe for a WHILE now and for the first time in a long time, I finally pulled something together and thought:

“Nope. Nothing needs changing.”

Which is honestly rare for me because I usually convince myself every recipe can still be improved somehow 😭

These are coconut white chocolate cookie bars with an ube swirl and this batch came out absolutely beautiful.

The swirl, the texture, the flavor balance… everything finally clicked all at once.

These are available in the cafe NOW. So come try them before it's too late!

Y’all have done it again.

We made even MORE cinnamon rolls this week than we did last week, and we're already down to our last tray 😭🤍🖤

Thank you all so much for the support lately. It has honestly been incredible to watch.

We still have fresh sourdough available, including:
🌶️ Cheddar Jalapeño

🍞 Plain Sourdough

One more reminder that we'll be closing early today at 5 PM while we start some kitchen renovations and reorganize our workspace.

If you'd like us to hold a loaf of bread or cinnamon rolls for you, just give us a call and we'll gladly set them aside.

Just make sure to come pick them up before 5!

As much as we’ve loved our Mountain Laurel specials this month… June is getting dangerously close 👀🌿

That means the Orange Blossom 🍊✨

We’ve already been working on June’s specials behind the scenes and let’s just say… things are getting a little fruity, fizzy, and mocktail-inspired around here this summer.

Funny enough, these brownies actually started as my sweet potato double chocolate muffin recipe 😭🍫

People already loved the muffins, but one day while making them I accidentally doubled the amount of chocolate chips because I looked away halfway through and forgot I had already added them.

I had a full “oh no” moment… right until they came out of the oven.

They were rich, gooey, super chocolatey, and suddenly way more brownie than muffin.

So after that, I started tweaking the recipe on purpose to turn it into an actual brownie instead of a muffin pretending to be one.

Last week’s version still came out a little too cakey for me, but after adjusting the fat and flour ratios, I FINALLY landed on the fudgy texture I was trying to get all along.

What really surprised me though was how fast they disappeared off the shelf.

Usually the double chocolate muffins sell quickly, but these brownies somehow went even faster, which definitely told me I was onto something.

And honestly? Whenever something sells out before I feel like I’ve perfected it, I get weirdly excited because it means I get to go back, tweak the recipe again, and see if I can make it even better.

According to my dad, these officially beat the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownies now, which is a genuinely dangerous statement in this family.
