What started as an idea has turned into a real place filled with coffee, conversations, laughter, new faces, and so much community.

And our community has REALLY shown up.

You’ve shared our posts, tagged your friends, brought people in, posted your own pictures, told others about us, and cheered us on. Every time you share a post or tell someone about Common Ground, it means more than you probably realize.

And behind all of this are these ladies who have poured their time, energy, creativity, and hearts into making Common Ground what it is.

I’m so grateful for this team and for every single person who has helped us get here.

The last few weeks have been so much fun and we’re just getting started. ☕️

Unfortunately, we lost power this morning and it didn’t fully come back on for Common Ground, which means we aren’t able to make coffee right now.

So, we’ve had to close for the rest of the day until further notice. We’re hopeful we’ll have everything back up and running in time for opening tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM, but we’ll keep you posted!

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hopefully we’ll see you tomorrow for coffee! ☕️

IT’S TIME FOR OUR GRAND OPENING! ☕️🎉

After months of dreaming, planning, decorating, training, taste-testing, and probably drinking too much coffee… Common Ground is officially opening its doors to the public Monday, September 21st!

And we’re making opening week extra fun. 👀

☕️ Free ground coffee samples to take home for the first several guests each day
🎉 Common Ground coozies for the first several guests each day
🎟️ Loyalty cards — your 10th drink is FREE
🧸 Toys, books & coloring for the kiddos
👥 Plenty of private space to gather with friends, groups, Bible studies, or meetings

We’re putting on the last few touches and getting everything ready for YOU! ☕️

We’ve been testing out smoothies and coffees, making sure we have a good selection of games for those who want to hang out and play, and stocking up on toys for the kiddos.

Basically, we’re getting Common Ground ready to be a place for everyone to enjoy.

Last week was all about learning, practicing, and getting ready to open the doors at Common Ground. ☕️

There’s a lot that goes into opening a coffee shop, but we’re learning that it’s about so much more than coffee. We’re preparing to create a place where people feel welcomed, known, and loved.

We’re getting closer every day, and we can’t wait for you to be part of it.

Yesterday, the Common Ground crew took a little field trip to T3 Coffee Co. & Roastery and we learned SO much. ☕️

We had the opportunity to sit down with Linda and Gary Tucker, pick their brains about all things coffee, learn more about the roasting process, and talk about what it looks like to use a coffee shop as a ministry that makes an impact beyond its four walls.

We’re grateful for people who are willing to share their experience, wisdom, and passion with us as we get Common Ground ready to open.

Because we don’t just want to serve good coffee. We want to create a place where people feel welcomed, known, and connected, and use something as simple as a cup of coffee to make a difference around the world.

We’re learning. We’re dreaming. We’re getting ready.

Common Ground Coffee Shop opens September 21!

You’ll find us in the old She Brews location, inside Vessel Church, right next door to B&B Theatres.

We’re creating more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee. We want Common Ground to be a place where you can slow down, connect with people, feel welcomed, and find a little common ground.

And there’s an even bigger purpose behind every cup—the proceeds will help support our ministry in Uganda.

So whether you’re grabbing your morning coffee, meeting a friend, getting some work done, or just looking for a place to belong, we’d love to have you.
