Happy birthday to our mom, who you call Jenn!
Dad said we should tell everyone a little bit about her, so here it goes.
Our mom has been working in coffee for about 17 years. She started at her mom’s coffee shop, which means our Grandma “JuJu,” at Scioto Valley Coffee in Circleville. A long time later, Mom and Dad ended up owning it.
She also worked at a coffee shop when she was in college and later worked for Crimson Cup, where she helped a bunch of other coffee shops open. Dad says it was more than 30, which seems like a lot.
She has even gone to Central America to meet coffee farmers and work in the coffee fields.
Now she helps run our three coffee shops, and Dad keeps talking about moving dirt around in Thornville for another one. She works with over 50 kind team members who are always so friendly to us and who make the best mac and cheese…for breakfast.
Mom still really loves being behind the counter too. You might see her working in Millersport or McConnelsville, especially during the holiday pop-ups.
But we mostly know her as Mom. She cheers us on in soccer, plays with us every day, takes care of the chickens and makes sure we have everything we need. She also takes pictures of her clothes for Instagram, which we don’t really understand, but she seems to like it.
She does a lot for our family and for the coffee shops, and we’re pretty lucky she’s our mom.
Happy birthday, Mom!
