After five years of bringing you the best and freshest East Coast Seafood we could provide, we are sad to announce that Court Street Lobster Bar will be permanently closing its doors at 9:00 p.m., on Friday, October 29th. With our lease coming up at the end of this year, we had many difficult decisions to make and we explored every possible avenue. We looked at expanding to a larger location, we talked about what moves could be made to make it work at our current location, and we discussed closing down.
Ultimately, we had to take a realistic look at the current climate of the restaurant industry and determined that our business model was no longer viable. Seafood prices continue to rise and we refused to lower our quality of product. Supply chain difficulties and shipping costs have been continuous issues and are only projected to get worse. Utilities and operational costs are also rising. Further, while the employees we have are awesome, rounding out our staff to operate at full strength has been a nightmare with the labor shortage and people leaving the industry.
The love so many have shown for us over the years will not be forgotten. Voting us Best Seafood in Cincinnati twice and voting us a Top Four Cincinnati restaurant in 2020 will make us forever proud. It has been a pleasure serving all of you. Join us over the next two weeks to grab a lobster roll and say goodbye to a truly great restaurant.
