This morning, I received the most beautiful flowers from Megan and the RefugeeConnect team. I looked at each rose and felt something far deeper than gratitude. The flowers were lovely, but the words tucked among them touched my heart in a way I can hardly describe. They made me feel seen, cared for, and surrounded by people whose kindness is as beautiful as their hearts. 💐

Dear Megan, thank you for thinking of me and for the love, respect, and encouragement you have shown me and my family. Your gesture meant more to me than you may ever know. To everyone at RefugeeConnect, thank you for continuing to stand beside us and celebrate our stories.

Wednesday’s event was especially meaningful to me. Sharing a Syrian cooking class and making kibbeh together gave me the chance to share a piece of my home with such a welcoming community. Seeing my story and my daughter Israa’s story honored that evening filled me with pride and emotion.

Since we arrived in the United States, your support has helped my family feel that we belong. Thank you for welcoming us, believing in us, and making us feel like family. I will carry this kindness in my heart for a long time. ❤️
