Constitution Day is a reminder that our communities grow stronger when we stay informed, participate fully, and remain honest about both the progress we’ve made and the justice still demanded of us.
For Black communities and all communities committed to liberation, building power begins with connection. A shared meal can create space for meaningful conversation, cultural exchange, encouragement, and collective care. Around the table, we can listen to one another, learn from our experiences, and strengthen the bonds that help us face ongoing challenges together.
This week, consider inviting someone to share a meal—especially a neighbor, elder, young person, or community member who may need support, affirmation, or a place to feel seen and welcomed. Community care is more than a message; it is something we practice together.
