Things are falling into place…

Tonight an elderly guest at our Oakley location was skeptical from the jump. I took his order at the counter. He grew up in New Haven on and even told me “This better be good.”

I didn’t make the pizza, and I didn’t run it to his table (shout out to the team).

At the end of his meal he approached me with glassy eyes to say he’s never had pizza like ours outside of New Haven. Then his son whispered that his dad never says such nice things about pizza.

I love moments like this not because of the validation, but because we were able to transport someone with very high standards back to his childhood, to core memories that are still right there for him. It means a lot.

Starting Tuesday 5/5 we will be open for lunch Tuesday-Sunday at Saint Francis Apizza Oakley! Doors at 11:30. We’ll have small (10” personal size) tavern and our ‘standard’ pies plus larges as usual. The smalls are $9-$13 dollars and will more than satisfy your lunch craving.

And yes, we’re also going to add Tuesday nights to our open hours! So SFA Oakley is now open six days a week, at 11:30 daily for dine-in and takeout.

New special at SFA Oakley! The Spring Pesto Margo-Rita was pitched to our kitchen manager by two people on our team, Chelsea and Shaun.

It features ramp and garlic mustard herb pesto, which they made nut-free as we’re a nut-free restaurant!

Come try it out! Here every day til we run out! I’d add burrata 😉 . Available at SFA Oakley only, for carryout or dine in.
