Can you believe Summer's almost over? Feels like we just started!

We’re closing in on the end of Jomun’s 2025 market season — and we’re going out with flavor this Saturday at Montgomery Farmers' Market. Our meal kits are all about bringing the heart of South Indian cooking to your kitchen, with prepped spice blends, portioned ingredients, and easy-to-follow instructions.

This weekend’s featured meal kit:
Mudha Pongal + Sambar – Creamy rice and lentils toasted with pepper, ginger, and crunchy cashews, paired with tangy, spiced lentil soup. Comfort food at its finest!

Our full meal kit menu:

• Dhaal
• Limbu Pongal
• Nullar Pongal
• Sambar
• Bise Bele Bhath

2025 was a slower year as we focused on other priorities — but 2026? Expect more flavors, more kits, and more reasons to gather around the table.

It’s our once-a-month visit, and we’re bringing the comfort, warmth, and flavor of home with us. Stop by and treat yourself to our hearty, nourishing South Indian vegan meal kits, perfect for sharing, learning, and feasting!

Bise Bele Bhath – Our featured dish! A rich, comforting rice and lentil blend with veggies and a savory spice blend
Dhaal – Simple, soul-soothing, and full of protein
Limbu Pongal – Zesty lemon rice with a crunchy tempering
Sambar – A veggie-filled lentil stew with depth and warmth
Sekkar Pongal – A sweet, creamy rice dish made with jaggery and cardamom
Nullar Pongal – A fragrant rice dish with toasted coconut and warm spices

Our head baker is out of town this week, so no desserts, but we promise the savory lineup is a feast all on its own!

✨ Introducing Nulur Pongal, a light and fragrant coconut rice that’s warm, comforting, and totally plant-based. It’s our newest dish, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Happy Mother's Day! 💚
Today we’re celebrating all kinds of moms, not just the ones who raised us, but the ones who nurtured us. The aunties, grandmas, big sisters, chosen family, pet moms, caregivers, mentors, and anyone who’s ever shown up with love, warmth, and snacks when we needed it most.

Jomun wouldn’t exist without my mom. Her creativity, strength, and deep sense of care are woven into every meal kit. She taught me how to lead with love and flavor, and I’m sharing some photos of her today because she is the heart of this journey.

If you care for others — in small ways or big — today is for you. Nourishment comes in many forms, and so does motherhood.

And hey — it’s never too late to show love through food.
