MLB, DIRECTV, NBC and Peacock: small businesses deserve better.
When access to playoff baseball leaves neighborhood sports bars unable to show the game, the impact reaches far beyond a blank TV. It means empty seats, lost food and drink sales, fewer tips for hardworking employees, and disappointed fans.
At 3N1 Sports Bar & Grill, we’re a family-owned business. We invest in our staff, our community, and a place where Padres fans can come together. We depend on those game-day crowds—and losing them hurts.
The San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs playoffs should bring our community together. Fans shouldn’t have to navigate a maze of providers, subscriptions and restrictions just to cheer together at their local bar.
We condemn corporate decisions that put small businesses and their employees last. MLB, DIRECTV, NBC and Peacock need to make commercial playoff access clear, affordable and reliable.
Behind every neighborhood bar are families, employees and livelihoods. We deserve a seat at the table—not empty seats in our businesses.
