Another one out!!

Four years ago, Renner started at 1982 as one of my very first hires—washing dishes.

Last night he wanted to finish his last shift right back where he started…washing dishes…And if that doesn’t perfectly sum up Renner, I don’t know what does!

Over the last four years, Renner has been one of the most reliable, dependable employees I could ever ask for. He didn’t just work at 1982—he helped me build it. We learned together, figured things out together, survived crazy nights together, and grew this little pizza place together!

Somewhere along the way, the kid at the dish sink became someone I could count on to lead the whole team.

He left his mark on this place in more ways than one. Renner is also an incredible artist, and over the years I would find his little drawings left behind all over 1982. I loved every single one of them. They became one of those small things I looked forward to finding!

Now that red Lobos hat is taking him to Alpine, Texas, where he’ll start his next chapter at Sul Ross State University. And while I am SO excited for him, this one is hard. There are employees who come and go…and then there are the ones who become part of the story!

Renner, you are part of the story of 1982 Pizza Co. You helped build this place from the early days into what it is today, and I will forever be grateful that I got to watch you grow up right alongside it.
