We are happy to welcome Crystals & Pistils CO2 extracted oil to our line up of CBD choices!
So, where to start? How do you choose between all these options? Choosing an oil is often based on multiple factors. Usually those are (in order):
1) Cost
2) Quality
3) Personal preference
TruHarvest, based in Christiansburg, grows and processes on a large scale, which allows them to offer our most affordable oil -- the best bang for your buck per milligram. It has a hint of herbal flavor and is very light in color. You may have seen/smelled the farm off I-81 before!
New River Extractions produces our most concentrated products. Extracted using a higher quality solvent, NRE's oil is dark in color and the herbal flavor is more obvious. Their flower is sourced from a variety of small New River Valley growers.
Crystals & Pistils' CBD oil is new to our store, but their products are not! You may know them for their Delta-8 items. Their oil is CO2-extracted, which is the best extraction method for cannabis. The oil has a slight greenish-yellow hue and has a little bit of herbal flavor. Based out of Radford, their flower comes from a variety of local growers. (They sometimes work with one of our other vendors, Terapene Station!)
Terapene Station's oil is owner's choice -- what we use in our smoothies in the kitchen! They are also using CO2-extraction, but their oil is much darker in color and the flavor is more obvious than the others. They grow and process in small batches in Floyd, VA.
Finally, although it's not an oil -- Grass Dancer Gardens deserves an honorable mention for their CO2-extracted 25mg capsules. Capsules are great for travelling, great for those who are taking many medications and use a pill-organizer -- or if you are simply not a fan of consuming the oil for whatever reason! They're based in Staunton. Like all our other brands, their product is also grown and processed locally.
