We want to thank everyone for your amazing outpouring of support & all of your heartfelt ideas. We have exhausted all of our feasible options in the attempt to reopen but there is just no way so the China Dine-ah is closed permanently. Once again we thank each & every one of you for your support over the last 6 years!

It is with immense sadness that I am writing this message to let you all know that the China Dine-ah will not be reopening for the foreseeable future. Being closed for what will be ten weeks on June 1st, & now finding out that all of the fairs & many other events have been canceled, in addition to not being allowed to run at full capacity, indicates that we will be losing much of our summer business that we rely on. Unfortunately, we can not survive this type of loss. We want all of our loyal customers in China, across the state of Maine & beyond to know that it has truly been a pleasure serving you. We are going to put all of our efforts into reopening our Augusta location, Lisas’s on Bangor Street, on June 1st. We would love your support & you can expect the same exceptional service & delicious food you were accustomed to at the Dine-ah. Thank you for your years of patronage & we hope our paths will cross again soon.

The gov has shut down all dine-in restaurants effective at 6pm today. After careful consideration (& a few tears) we have decided to forgo the take-out & delivery option at this time. We appreciate our amazing staff and all of the support from our amazing customers. We will fight to come back from this & come out stronger on the other side.

Good evening, we wanted to let everyone know that we plan to stay open as long as we possibly can to serve you! We are taking cleanliness very seriously & will continue to do so but if you aren’t feeling up to coming in please give us a call & order some take out! We want to not only support our amazing staff, who depend on this restaurant for their income but also support the community through this crazy time.
