Shubert left Montana to find a location in California for an ice cream shop. As he drove down the tree-lined Esplanade, Shubert was impressed with Chico and decided this was where his business could thrive. Not only is Shubert's in the same building in downtown Chico, but it also uses one of the original ice cream making machines, still in the same family, with the fourth generation of Pulliam's c

urrently making ice cream, rolling out candies and dipping chocolates right on the premises. This unbroken connection to Chico's history and to traditional entrepreneurship is reflected in the family's dedication to maintaining the highest standard of quality in their products.

A message to this amazing community-

In 2017 my sister started our “Shubert’s Bunny Photo” sessions. This last weekend, we hosted the largest event to date. You all supported us through the growing pains of hosting a car show for the first time. You showed up hundreds (even thousands?) by the day. You made each other smile in times of chaos. You ate A LOT of ice cream and you made me cry LOTS of happy tears.

So for that, 𝓣𝓗𝓐𝓝𝓚 𝓨𝓞𝓤!! For the support, compassion and even the constructive feedback that you all offered. We could not be more grateful for each and every one of you. Because of you I am proud to call this community home every single day.

Shubert’s would not be the family business we are if not for our community members that help make said family. We may be five generations of Shubert/ Pulliam lineage but you all are who make us SHUBERT’S.
