Opening for the summer season on May 21st. We will have espresso drinks, ice cream, snacks but most cafe items will start in another week. The gift store is stocked with a lot of new stuff. Welcome to 2026! We are getting ready for another fun-filled year in this quirky little community of Chicken, Alaska. We look forward to sharing our slice of the Alaska wilderness with travelers from all over the globe. Forget about the troubles of the world and come hang out in our off-grid, peaceful community. Start your day with a yummy coffee drink and fresh pastry, join us on the deck on select evenings for wood-fired pizza or anytime for grilled deli sandwiches/homemade soup. Shop our unique gift store/gallery for Alaska art, hand-crafts, clothing, collectables, pottery, jewelry, gold, ivory, etc. Try some gold panning or recreational gold mining, take a gold dredge tour, hike or ride some area trails, wander through our historical displays or just enjoy camping and hanging in Chicken.
