Dear Friends and Family,
As difficult as this is to say, we are approaching the end of an era. After 25+ years of flat burritos, catered events, live music, family gatherings, and plenty of refreshments... Tierra Caliente will soon be coming to a close.
Unfortunately, the restaurant has been significantly impacted by each variant surge of the Covid-19 pandemic and is no longer financially stable. The pandemic has left the business and our father in significant debt. Despite the countless sacrifice and effort from all of us to salvage Tierra Caliente, it can no longer stay afloat. This was not an easy decision, but our father also feels it is time to hang up his botas.
For most of his adult life, our father has invested his time, money, passion, and love to make Tierra Caliente an integral part of the Brighton Park community. He welcomed every patron with home cooked meals and treated everyone like family.
Each passing day, the financial burden of the restaurant gets heavier. In turn, delaying the closure of Tierra Caliente. We are asking for our family and community to come together to help bring this era to a close.
