For , we’re celebrating the stories, flavors, and creativity that make our neighborhood so special, including the incredible team behind Bayan Ko Diner. 🇵🇭🇨🇺✨

Service industry veterans Lawrence Letrero and Raquel Quadreny always dreamed of creating a place of their own — one that honored both of their cultural backgrounds through food. What started in their home kitchen became something truly unique: a beautiful blend of Filipino and Cuban cuisine rooted in connection, creativity and shared traditions.

As Raquel shared, the similarities between the two cuisines “just kind of worked well together.” And anyone who’s dined at Bayan Ko knows that’s an understatement. Their dishes rhyme like poetry — layered, vibrant, comforting and packed with flavors that pay equal respect to two rich culinary traditions.
