In its past life, Tuman’s was known as Tuman’s Tavern (aka The Alcohol Abuse Center), a Ukrainian Village dive bar with an eccentric décor and an eclectic clientele. The tavern received a much-needed facelift and was rechristened Tuman’s Tap & Grill in 2012. The sunny corner storefront now boasts booth and high-top seating with subtle nods to the tap’s dive-bar roots, from the original stained gla

ss and wood on the back bar to the Alcohol Abuse Center signage as wall art. The seasonally rotating menu features signature selections such as Prince Edward Island mussels with Allagash White Ale and shallots, and custom-ground Slagel Family Farm burgers, including the gorgonzola burger with shallot port reduction and caramelized onions. The full-service bar features handcrafted cocktails, a well-chosen wine list, and 28 ever-changing draft lines with a focus on highly-rated craft beers. WestFest Chicago is this weekend! This Chicago Avenue fest features a live music lineup programmed by Empty Bottle + Bass by the Pound books the DJ stage. Headliners on the East Stage include Junglepussy, Model/Actriz and Hunx and His Punx, and the DJ lineup features Sir Hiss, Sneak, and crowd-favorite Derrick Carter for the headline sets. Hirter 1270, an award-winning Austrian Vienna-style lager, arrived on DRAFT for the first time ever in the USA recently, and we secured a barrel for a very special tapping on Wednesday, July 15!

1270 has an exceptionally long conditioning and maturation period making it a truly distinctive specialty beer. This beer features a straightforward malt character, sweet floral notes, and a hint of preserved peach. Fine caramel nuances unfold on the palate, accompanied by soft, gentle carbonation.
