Situated in the courtyard of the Hyde Park Shopping Center, La Petite Folie offers classic french food and wine for lunch and dinner. Owners Michael and Mary Mastricola are University of Chicago alumni and Hyde Park residents. In 1995, Mary earned the Grand Diplomen of L'Ecole Cordon Bleu in Paris, finishing first in her class. Mary runs the kitchen while Michael directs and the dining room and manages our all-French wine list. From 5:00-6:30 pm daily, we offer a changing prix fixe 3 course menu designed to speed you on your way to the opera, symphony, theater or to any of the evening cultural events that Hyde Park and the city of Chicago offer. We are pleased to offer a full range of distinctive catering services, as well as on-site event planning and management. For Chicago’s most discerning hosts, we offer the best in classical cuisines from France and around the world and the distinctive and gracious service of an experienced and courteous waitstaff. Choose us for your next catered event and let us build you a customized menu to fit your budget, supply beautiful table settings to gracefully appointed spaces, and provide you with any other services needed to make your next event memorable. Available for private events, our western dining room can accommodate up to 28 for lunch or dinner, or choose to reserve the entire restaurant for up to 64 guests.

La Petite Folie is having a restaurant kitchen sale this weekend - Saturday, February 25, and Sunday, February 26 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 1504 E. 55th Street.

We're selling china (various sizes), glassware (Stolzle wine glasses, water glasses, bar glasses), ice buckets, baskets, pans, vases, and cookbooks - everything $1 - $10 - CASH ONLY.

Starting this week, Hyde Park's La Petite Folie is now open for dinner Wednesday-Sunday evenings starting at 5 p.m. - just in time for the start of Court Theatre’s 2022/23 season.

Call 773-493-1394 for reservations and be sure to mention you will be attending the theatre for expedited service.

La Petite Folie is located at 1504 E. 55th Street in the Hyde Park Shopping Center - with convenient free parking.
