At the heart of Hinsdale Haven, dual islands create space for both gathering and everyday living, while warm wood tones, light cabinetry and an antiqued brass hood bring softness and dimension to the clean architectural lines.

Tucked beyond ribbed-glass arched doors, the scullery extends the kitchen with secondary appliances, generous storage and the kind of behind-the-scenes functionality that makes entertaining feel effortless.

Affectionately known as the “booze box,” this central bar pairs a signature square arch with warm wood paneling, concealed storage and glass display shelving—a small space with plenty of personality.

In the main-level office, custom O’Brien Harris cabinetry complements stone-clad walls and metal detailing, carrying the home’s balance of natural materials and modern refinement into the workspace.

Small in scale, bold in expression. Rich millwork, dramatic stone and architectural arches give this powder room a distinctly moody presence while connecting it to the design language found throughout the home. Gold Winner for Best Powder Room in the 2026 Kitchen & Bath Design Awards!

Last month, O’Brien Harris joined the Traverse City Horse Show for an unforgettable evening of world-class sport and summer hospitality in Northern Michigan.

To mark the occasion, we created the O’Brien Harris Blue Ribbon Spritz, a signature cocktail inspired by blue skies, summer afternoons, and the spirit of championship ribbons.

Served during our VIP Happy Hour ahead of the Grand Prix, the refreshing spritz was the perfect toast to a beautiful evening at Flintfields Horse Park. Now, we’re delighted to share it with you.

Join us at O’Brien Harris for the 2026 10th Annual RNDD Fall Gallery Walk and The Art of Entertaining, presented with Studio W Interiors.

Meet Julia Archer of Archer Ceramics, one of the artists featured at O’Brien Harris during this year’s RNDD Gallery Walk.

Working from her Oak Park studio, Julia draws inspiration from architectural forms and surface textures to create timeless, functional stoneware. Each piece is thrown by hand and thoughtfully glazed, with subtle marks and variations left visible as part of the making process.

Michael Coates, artist and owner of Wilderhouse, looks to the natural world for inspiration.

Raised in Northern California, Michael draws from the mountains, forests, and coastal landscapes of his youth. Sandy, earth-toned clays and neutral glazes evoke those environments, while collected shells, driftwood, and stones inform his process and give his work a tangible connection to the landscapes that inspire it.

Chicago native Joanne Trestrail has worked in clay since the late 1990s, beginning with figure sculpture before turning her focus to ceramics.

A member of The Pottery Studio on Chicago’s North Side, Joanne specializes in hand-building with coiled clay, creating distinctive surface textures as each coil is joined. Her high-fired pieces are largely left unglazed, allowing the material, form, and intricate texture of the clay to take center stage.
