Our Story

My name is Eli and I started this company in the fall of 2013. I am a former scientist that now goes by the title of tea-ethnobotanist. The company has grown quite a bit these past few years. I went from selling online, then to farmers markets, then in wholesale, with the grand goal of opening a modern tea bar!

Eli Tea Bar is my vision for the future of tea. It is a modern tea experience. We offer quality tasty teas in a friendly community environment. We source many of our food products from a number of local companies and also host local art showings. Once a month we also offer group tea tastings and and Kombucha 101 classes. Keep an eye on our facebook events for those dates.

All the teas are brewed from loose leaf tea. No tea bags here! I source them from some of the most celebrated growing regions around the world like Darjeeling India and Omi Japan. BUT! 20% of our inventory also comes from American farms! My past research as a scientist included working to grow and create herbal infusions. I am dedicated to continually work with American growers to source ingredients where we can. Teas like our Oregon Mint and Traverse City Cherry festival embody the best of America in a cup.
