Coach Mike Ditka was a beloved friend of Eli Schulman and our Eli’s Cheesecake family. After every Bears home game, we loved hosting Coach Ditka and Diana at Eli’s the Place for Steak—that is until he opened his own restaurant, Ditka’s. We were especially proud the Coach celebrated the 1986 Bears’ win over the Los Angeles Rams—the game that sent them to the Super Bowl—at Eli's. We join Chicagoans and fans everywhere in remembering Da Coach and celebrating his lasting legacy. We send our deepest condolences to Diana, the Ditka family, and all those who knew and loved him.

Last year, when we installed a water treatment system at our bakery, we suddenly had an 18-foot tank in front of our building. We believe anything can be beautiful, even a water tank, so we teamed up with Chicago artist Matthew Hoffman to turn an ordinary object into something meaningful and beautiful. The We Are Beautiful x We Are Eli’s installation is complete! Come visit us at Eli’s and take a look. Beauty is everywhere, even on a water tank. 💜❤️💙💛

We can’t wait to be back at Pawpaw Festival this Saturday, 9/26, in Paw Paw, IL, where we’re teaming up with Pawpaw Farms Inc again to bring you our extremely limited-edition Pawpaw Cheesecake! (How many times can we say Paw Paw?)

Beautiful pawpaws at Pawpaw Farms Inc, the source for our cheesecake! They taste like a mix between a banana and a mango and are the largest edible fruit native to North America.

Chef Diana, Chef Elissa and Gio at last year’s fest! We’ll be back with slices and a limited amount of whole cakes.

Meet our friend Kipp, co-owner of Pawpaw Farms Inc, who cold-called us and said, “Hey, can you make a pawpaw cheesecake?” And here we are! He’ll be selling whole fruit at the fest.

At last year’s fest, we made a giant Pawpaw Cheesecake that was cut by Paw Paw Village Mayor Michael Torman!

We had a 🍇grape🍇 time yesterday at Green City Market annual Chef BBQ celebrating incredible farmers, growers, and great chefs who help make our local food system thrive.
