Had a lovely time catering the second 60th birthday party in as many months for a wonderful family last night. This 5-course dinner party included:
Roasted red pepper bisque (arugula-almond pesto, chevre, yellow pepper brunois, toasted almonds),

Caramel apple salad (salted caramel, radicchio "bowl", arugula, honeycrisp apple, cider vinaigrette, candied pecans, cheddar grissini)

Butternut squash-brown butter ravioli (sage-infused handmade ravioli, roasted local Farrar Out Farm
butternut squash, sage brown butter, shaved aged gouda, toasted pine nuts)

Brasato al Barolo (red wine-braised local Pierce Creek Cattle Company beef brisket & Farrar Out Farm short ribs, mushroom-leek ragu, mushroom arancino, crispy frizzled leek greens)

Raspberry-dark chocolate chip sorbet (double chocolate meringue, salted dark chocolate ganache)

A huge THANK YOU and GRAZIE MILLE 🙏🙏🙏to Sauce Magazine for getting the word out about our forthcoming Vicini Pastaria cafe, & market, coming soon-ish to Lafayette Square. After numerous delays and setbacks and a decade of dreaming of this concept, I couldn't be more excited that it is finally starting to take shape and slowly inching toward reality, hopefully by the end of the year if all goes well with construction 🤞.
