Yuan Xiao Jie ( #元宵节), also known as the Lantern Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month. It marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations and is a time for family reunions, lantern displays, and traditional customs.

In 2025, will fall on February 12th. A key aspect of Yuan Xiao Jie is tangyuan: a traditional food eaten during the festival, consisting of glutinous rice balls filled with sweet or savory fillings.
