Although the pandemic looks to have a light at the end of the tunnel, it’s very important to keep supporting our local favorites! We want all restaurants to keep serving up awesome burgers and doing what they do best.

I’ll be sharing information provided by various restaurants about what they’re offering currently, so make sure to save these posts, try a new place, or buy some gift cards. Everything helps!

is open Tuesday - Sunday for carryout and delivery only. They accept orders 4pm - 8:30pm on those days.

Guests can order online from the home page of their website for pick-up, and they also offer free delivery by their own team members every night. The free delivery boundaries go north to Bryn Mawr, west to Narrangansett (Nagle), south to Diversey and east to Kedzie.

They also offer a ‘Kids Eat Free’ promo Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Receive 1 free kids meal for each adult meal purchase of $16 or more. This is intended for kids 12yrs and younger.

They have multiple cocktails to-go, which have been very well-received. Also, they started a ‘heat and eat’ meal kit menu, with fresh and frozen options of full meals, dumplings, cookie dough, soups and more.

Finally, there is a monthly wine dinner meal kit that guests can preorder and pick-up. These meals feature a unique theme and the bar manager selects 3 wines that fit the theme. The Chef develops a 3-course menu that pairs to the wines. Guests get the 3-course meal kit, 1 bottle of the wine (their choice), reheating instructions and notes on the wines. More on their website! Finally got around to trying and their OIB burger as well as burger of the week (pics on a later post). OIB is located at 4419 W Montrose right off the expressway and Montrose blue line stop, so it’s super accessible!
They personally brew over half a dozen beers, which we obviously had to try, but the main event was this juicy beauty in the first picture.
We got the OIB burger medium rare with bacon. It’s an 8oz patty of wood fired USDA prime beef, with white cheddar, caramelized onions, charred onion aioli, and an onion bun. Kinda like a French onion soup of a burger, now that I think about it.
This was a very juicy and smokey burger, to be expected. The ingredients work well together and the bun has an almost sponge-like consistency that’s very light and holds the burger together well. Cooked perfectly, this burger was awesome overall. I would score it around 90/100.
The burger is $14.50 solo, but another $2 for bacon. The bacon was super crisp/baked, and I don’t think it’s necessary. Let the onions stand out. Great brewpub atmosphere and the bartender serving us was super welcoming and friendly. Definitely a place to check out for solid beer and burgers!
P.S. - They’re in for Chicago Burger Madness 2020 @ Old Irving Brewing Co.

Did you know all the photos at our shops are of the original Budlong family and their life on the farm? 👩‍🌾 👨‍🌾..
The family, headed by Joseph and Lyman Budlong, maintained a successful 500-acre farm in what's now known as Lincoln Square.

The farm's main operation was selling pickled cucumbers and beets, which were first grown in surrounding fields. The hearty vegetables thrived in the sandy soil. We’ve since continued the pickling legacy as we make each pickle fresh in-house, week after week!
