Do you know the origin story of Wonderburger? Bill Grant, our founding father, was head cook at Super Burger on 85th and Stony Island before opening the first Wonderburger in 1954! We don't know much about Super Burger except that it's owner, Moose, was inspired while living in Texas to create a Burger using taco toppings. That was meat, cheese, lettuce and "salsa". Hence the famous Wonderburger we have today! Moose dressed his burgers in wax paper featuring the image of a tuxedo and called it "the best dressed Burger in town!". We don't know much about this advertisement, only that it was in a newspaper before 1954 but we do know that the recipe for our burgers has been the same for 80 years!
