Unfortunately, we experienced a break-in at the Little Sandwich House last night. Thankfully, there was minimal damage, and we were able to open and operate during our regular business hours today.
We have temporarily boarded up the front door while repairs are being arranged. We’re also sharing video footage to help keep our community informed.
Thank you to all of our patrons for your continued support — it truly means so much to us.

We are heartbroken by the loss of our cafe neighbor and friend, Brian Mills from Chicken and Waffles. He will truly be missed.

Rest in Peace, Brian. We will forever appreciate the love and support you showed to the Chicago's Home of Chicken & Waffles Bronzeville team, as well as the community, over the past decade. Your role as the General Manager was marked by exceptional leadership and a profound influence on those around you. You were more than just a GM. You were a friend, and most of all you were family. We are shocked and saddened by your passing, and our hearts are filled with sorrow. You will be deeply and forever missed. 🙏🏾💐🙏🏾
