So honored to be mentioned by Block Club Chicago as a great place to eat after visiting the Obama Presidential Center:
"Pairing traditional Indian specialties with Southern comfort food dishes might not seem obvious, but this Hyde Park restaurant has been converting many a naysayer for the past 35 years.
The restaurant’s name was meant to be pronounced Raj-JAHN, as Raj is the Indian name for king. Owner Trushar Patel relaxed on its pronunciation years ago but not on the quality of the freshly prepared food.
At the cafeteria-style counter, you’ll find Indian combo meals like tandoori chicken with paratha, samosa, vegetable curry and basmati rice, as well as a la carte Indian specialties, Southern-style fried chicken and sides like collard greens for a crowd-pleasing meal."
Visit us at 1459 E. 53rd Street for lunch or dinner - Rajun Cajun is open 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
