Babies having babies, we hate it! Oleander is just that: a baby who has already had at least one litter of puppies. We don't know where her puppies are, but we know she misses them. Oleander is a sweet, gentle, shy girl who is sad and confused. Her fear and confusion doesn't stop her from allowing us to shower her with love and affection. Oleander's fur is as soft as a cloud and Oleander is as a gentle as a feather. Oleander doesn't seem to know any commands; whoever had Oleander wasn't interested in teaching her anything other than making puppies. But Oleander is smart and sweet and so much more than a puppy machine. Oleander is ready for a family who wants to shower her with love and affection and help her regain her confidence.

Came in as a stray on 2/12/23 and is available for rescue holds NOW, transferable on 2/15/23 at 7pm.

People share or foster. Save Dogs make your self happy.

Update: Rescued! Thanks for sharing!

A picture is worth a thousand words and so is this sweet senior Vivian. I think her face says it all. Used and abused and left homeless on the streets of Chicago. Vivian is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly and welcomes body rubs and treats. This sweet girl deserves to live out the rest of her life like the queen she is. The shelter is no place for a senior dog. Don't let her life end here.....
Let's get her a nice comfy home to call her own.

Foster needed for this wonderful dog. SHARE. a shelter is full.

***EXTREMELY URGENT*** Located at Chicago Animal Care and Control. Yale is a 2-year-old puppy. This poor boy came in as a stray and no one came looking for him. This boy has the looks and the smarts. This handsome boy likes to greet people with a play bow and then take off running. He might still jump when he gets very excited to see the people he remembers, but he’s still in puppy mode. He would love someone to give him guidance and teach him more manners. He is definitely a people pleaser, so he’ll give you, his attention. Now let’s talk about smarts. Yale is one SMART pup. This boy will sit, give you a high 5 and even a high 10! he also knows how to shake with BOTH paws.
Do you like to teach? Do you like to watch someone learn? Well, look no farther than Yale. He’ll amaze you with his smarts and not let a teaching moment go to waste. Please give this wonderful pup the life he deserves. There is so much out there for this pup to learn and see.
If you cannot give him a home, then please SHARE his story so he can find his forever home that is waiting. Pledges are also an option to help rescues pull these dogs.
If you are interested in fostering, then you can contact us and we can help match you with an accepted rescue group.

Dog fosters needed.

Chicago ACC is FULL and this only means one thing: dogs will die and are dying. This is MIRACLE, and his is a story of love, redemption and forgiveness. I share directly from the Dog Transfer Team Post, so beautifully put. Please look at the dogs on this page. They are ALL in danger. Save a life by adopting, fostering, pledging or sharing.

Miracle A236584 | Male | Age? | E152

Handling video: https://youtu.be/7lx-yCNU7MQ

Miracle truly lives up to his name. He’s a survivor. He was found unconscious in a fire and required oxygen and then an extended stay in emergency care. We are so happy that he was able to pull through because he’s such a sweet boy. Miracle has some terrifying scars especially on his ears. We took our first meeting slow because he deserves to have positive interactions only going forward. Miracle was pretty great. He is a big boy but refreshingly not a sled dog on leash. He sits on command and is so gentle taking treats. Miracle was respectful of our personal space even when we were down on his level. He loves toys and has tons of coordination catching tennis balls on a short bounce. What he really took a liking to was the Kong toys and Nylabone. He would just carry it around wagging his tail. Miracle allowed handling all over and wasn’t sensitive about us touching his banged up side or ears. We wish for a home filled with things that make Miracle a happy boy!

Came in as an abandoned confiscate on 12/9/21 and is available for rescue holds NOW, transferable on 12/16/22 at 7PM.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!! Thank you for SHARING!!
UPDATE: Chicago is starting to put down dogs for space and LEGEND is number one on the list!! He has run out of time! He can be ADOPTED or FOSTERED!! No editorial comments about killing, there’s not enough room on the thread! He’s the PERFECT dog! We can’t let him die! If you want to adopt, email [email protected] for an appointment to meet him! If you want to foster, contact us immediately!
EXTREMELY URGENT:LEGEND didn’t plan on being taken to Chicago ACC by the family he loved, and being left there, lost, scared, worried. He’s only one year old and he’s suffering so much that he will be put down if an adopter or foster doesn’t take him home. LEGEND’s furrowed brow and the fear in his eyes ease when he’s taken outside for those brief 15 minutes and he stands mellow, quiet and observant from his spot in the little swimming pool. He presses close to his handler for pets, seeking pets for comfort, so sweet and kind. LEGEND loves other dogs and had a good cat test. He lived with a two year old child. He had a doggie day out with two volunteers during which he looked like a different dog just breathing the fresh air and tasting freedom. I cannot imagine how hard it must have been to go back into that cage. I beg you to please SAVE LEGEND, A228279. VIDEOS: https://youtu.be/OLy3j7RI9xM and https://youtu.be/H5QgoeiQfD8

Remember the post about Rescuing Jiggy??? Happy results after 6 months.

Get Jiggy a foster ASAP! Please share

JIGGY only has a few hours to live, he has been at Chicago ACC over 120 days. He’s the PERFECT pal and companion! He needs a couch to curl up on, his head on your lap! He is eight years old and was abandoned at Chicago ACC in October, his body starved, his face scarred. Yet JIGGY's resilient spirit and determined heart blossomed there! Inside the broken shell of his body, lay a goofy, playful, fun, affectionate dog who loves people and whose tail never stops wagging. His coat is shiny, he has gained weight. But JIGGY needs to be an only pet; he prefers humans to other animals and has been hard to place. What does JIGGY need and want? Not much. He's an "easy dog:" a home, your feet that he can lie next to; a yard, where he can chase big balls (oh he loves to push them with his snout and chase them) and squeak small toys to his heart’s delight!! WHERE are YOU, TRUE HEART, who will wake up to JIGGY'S glowing smile every morning, understand when he's "grumpy," enjoy his silliness and love him? WATCH HIM PLAY: https://youtu.be/a_V_W1QggMQ and
WATCH HIM LISTEN and RUN: https://youtu.be/1SoOfB8ArM8 AND THE BEST FOR LAST: https://youtu.be/Vcnz0YI9HRs SHARE to SAVE his LIFE!!
