My grandmother didn’t play that being broke and not having your own as a woman. As the daughter she never had she instilled in me at a very early age the importance of STANDING ON YOUR OWN. When I got pregnant she always said TAKE CARE OF YOUR BABY!!! Don’t worry about what a man will or won’t do. THATS YOUR BABY…. Safe to say Ive been stepping HARD ever since….She wasn’t much of a big visionary like me. But she was BIG on KEEP YOU A JOB. So yall know where to find me today…. AT THE JOB. This is her first birthday that I’ve had to get through without my father. So id be lying if I said this one isn’t hitting different. But as always im still going to SHOW UP. There would be NO VAROLD’S™️ without her. If you know the origin story then you know Varold’s™️ was created because my father went to Harold’s EVERY Friday after work while we cared for her during her cancer battle. And one day I just got tired of ordering fries with mild sauce and went home and created the greatest Chicago Vegan Chkn Experience this city will ever know! So today I’m choosing to honor her
with THE GRANDMA BESSIE SPECIAL…
