WLS-AM 890 Radio Emmy award winning talk show hosts, Sirott and Murciano celebrated the Chinese New Year with Chamber Executive Director Sharyne Moy Tu for a live on-air taste testing of the popular dim sum dish, Sui Mai. The Bannos Brothers (Heaven on Seven Restaurants) joined them for the tasting and judging. Thank you to the restaurants who donated food for the show: Cai, 超群餅家 Chiu Quon Bakery, Phoenix Restaurant, Triple Crown Restaurant and Won Kow Restaurant. There was a tie for the top pick. The winners were Cai and Chiu Quon Bakery & Dim Sum. Phoenix, Triple Crown and Won Kow were close behind with their delicious dishes. Be sure to try these restaurants when you are in Chinatown. There are many, many great restaurants, more than 70, that serve this dish and much more. Be sure to visit Chinatown during the lunar new year holidays! Come early before the Chinese New Year Parade on February 5th to dine, then stay to shop and watch the parade!
