Dear Friends of Milt’s Extra Innings,

In the fall of 2017, we undertook an exciting, ambitious, and daunting project when we teamed up to create Milt’s Extra Innings. Our goal was two-fold. First and foremost, we wanted to create an environment where members of the Keshet GADOL family could grow and thrive in a work environment. Second, we wanted to provide a tasty and kosher alternative to Milt’s BBQ next door by offering healthy and quick deli delights. I feel strongly that we succeeded on both fronts. The past year-plus has been an incredible one with a steep and gratifying learning curve and many, many amazing experiences.

With all that said, some stark financial realities have set in. We have struggled to compete with the other options around us, and sales at MEI are not what we projected them to be. With a heavy heart, we have made the difficult decision to end the project we know as MEI in its current form. The deli will be closing after service on Sunday, March 17, while we retool for our next project. As said above, our primary goal was to create a positive work environment for GADOL participants and that remains our ideal.

We are exploring plans to open a new business in the space that has a stronger financial outlook and would suit the emerging skill-set of many of our employees. We will keep you all updated as our new project unfolds and as we more clearly define our needs moving forward. We will be working closely with the Keshet team to ensure that we have an arrangement that benefits the workers first and foremost. This news may be shocking to some of you, but please don’t worry. We are not going away. As sad as the end of one chapter may be, the next chapter may prove to be even more uplifting and exciting!

We will be operating per usual until 5PM on Sunday, March 17. Please stop by and give our staff some well-wishes. We will also be offering many of our MEI catering items through Milt’s BBQ, so please feel free to continue to send in your catering orders, they will absolutely be fulfilled!

Who’s ready for the Super Bowl? 🏈 MEI is with it’s 3ft sub, that’s ready to head out!

MEI will again remain closed tomorrow due to weather conditions.

Most of our staff rely on public transportation, and it is not safe to expose anyone to the extreme weather conditions!

We will resume regular business hours on Friday, February 1st.

Hello Milt’s Family!
As most of you know, we will be experiencing some very extreme weather this week. Wednesday will be particularly bad, with highs of -15F and a wind chill of -40F. With that, we will not be open for service this Wednesday, January 30.

If anything changes with the forecast, we will keep you posted as we know more.
