The first thing I do when I go home to Boston is stop at the nearest sub shop and get a large steak and cheese sub. This is a staple at pretty much every sub shop in Boston and since I don't get home much I needed to figure out how to get it in Chicago, my home of 18 years. 6 months ago I realized the only way I could make this happen is to open my own sub shop here in Chicago. Not surprisingly, this is the most popular item on our menu alongside the Italian sub. I love being able to share this simple pleasure with my friends and neighbors in Chicago, and the fact that they all love it as much as I do makes all the hard work of owning a small business totally worth it!
