Our story starts in the heart of Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood in a loving mother’s kitchen where the anticipation of homemade custard filled her family with joy. Her son, Elijah, would later recall these memories (and recipes) when opening Brewer Coffee and Custard. Now, we’re proud to share many custards with those who walk through our doors. We also serve coffee, sandwiches, and a varie

ty of other sweet and savory menu items. As an African American-owned and -operated business, there’s nothing we love more than contributing to the rich history of our community. We look forward to making new memories with you, one scoop at a time.
