As we continue the bittersweet process of closing our Cheyenne Godfather’s Pizza location, we’re opening the doors this Saturday for a community sale of equipment.

If you’ve ever wanted a little slice of Godfather’s history, now’s your chance.

This is Robert.

He’s been Bob 2.0. He was literally named after his Uncle Bob. (Fun fact: he’s a triplet!)

Robert has worked at Godfather’s since the day Bob bought it - though he worked alongside him for many years before that.

Quiet. Steady. Humble. Kind. A good sense of humor. Many of the same qualities Bob had.

Robert stepped up to run the restaurant, lead the crew, and carry a heavy weight most of us never saw. He’s grieving, too. We all miss Bob terribly. But Robert stayed strong for our family and for the Godfather’s team, leading with heart, integrity, and always doing what’s right.

Michelle shared that Bob once told her, “You guys will figure it out.” And they sure did, with Robert as Da Boss (2.0).

Thank you, Robert. For holding the line. For honoring Bob. For absolutley everything. ❤️

Tonight we want to give a huge thank you to our night manager, Michelle.

Michelle has been part of the Godfather’s family for the past 4 years, and during that time she’s been a steady, reliable presence behind the scenes (especially on the nights when things are busy and full of moving pieces… like her ornery, young crew.😜 😉)

She shows up, keeps things running, supports the team, and takes pride in doing things the right way. Over these final weeks, she’s stepped up in every way, helping carry us through long nights, sold-out pizzas, and emotional moments with strength. Plus she puts up with the guy next to her. 🙃

Michelle, we are so grateful for the time and heart you’ve given to Godfather’s and our family. Thank you for helping us close this chapter strong. 🥹❤️

The phones are still ringing and we hate having to turn people away, but this kind of support is something we never could have imagined.

Friday’s final lunch buffet A-Team:
Zac, Kathleen, Tony, Steven, Juliana, and Hunter - absolute rockstars yesterday and throughout this entire closing stretch. We couldn’t have done it without you!

If you’ve ever come into Godfather’s for lunch, chances are you were greeted by our manager, Kolette (the gal in the red).

Kolette worked alongside Bob for more than a decade, and her loyalty to him and to this business never wavered. He trusted her, relied on her, and that loyalty went both ways.

She showed up day after day, knew our regulars by name, and helped keep this place running through busy days, quiet days, and everything in between. Kolette has been a constant here and a true customer favorite.

As we close this chapter tonight. we’re incredibly grateful for the years she gave, the responsibility she carried, and the way she helped lead our team through this final stretch. 🦸‍♀️

Thank you, Kolette, for your hard work, your commitment, and for standing by this place (and Bob) for so many years. 🥹❤️

And to this entire crew - thank you for showing up, giving it your all, and carrying this place with so much heart and hard work through the very end.

We’ve had a steady stream of dinner orders rolling in tonight. Thank you for the business love and patience. We’re doing our best to keep up with the phones, but you’re always welcome to come in and order in person for dine-in or carryout. (Two hour wait right now.)

Same plan tomorrow as we take one final bow. ❤️🍕💥

(PS: Huge thanks to Robert for making even more dough today. 🙌 Fun fact: one batch makes about 23 pizzas… and we’re rolling through 10–12 batches. That’s a heckuva lot of pizza. 🍕🔥 😋)t

Our dough machine broke at 4 a.m., but Gino and Robert rolled up their sleeves, fixed it, and we were back in business.

Today is our final Friday and our final lunch buffet. To be honest, this one is hard.

We don’t know what the next two days will bring, but we do know how much this place has meant to our family and this community.
