✨ BIG NEWS FOR LOULOU’S! ✨

Our LouLou’s trailer has officially been sold, along with a brand new unopened Vevor exhaust vent, to the lucky new owner.

Now it’s onward and upward. I am applying for grants, saving up, and searching for a ready to go trailer that already includes electrical installation and essential basics. This next step helps us avoid delays and brings LouLou’s to life in a timely manner.

Wish me luck as I apply, save, and hunt for the perfect trailer that will help LouLou’s launch in under a month.

And keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming new book, which will help support my LouLou’s investment.

We are getting closer every day, and the dream is in motion. 💕✨

Thank you all so much for the love and support you’ve shown LouLou’s!

Quick update! as many of you know, we’ve been working to get our tiny food trailer fully set up, but being in a rural area has made it extremely hard to secure licensed electrical work. Because of this, I’ve decided to move forward in a new direction.

👉 I am now selling the tiny food trailer so I can put those funds toward something that will truly support LouLou’s growth. I’m currently applying for grants to purchase an upgraded trailer that fits our full menu, provides more space, and already includes completed, licensed electrical work needed to pass inspection. This upgrade will allow LouLou’s to run smoothly and safely without the constant setbacks.

I appreciate every bit of encouragement, advice, and support you’ve all given during this journey. At the same time, I’m still trying to find the downtime to finish my first children’s book — the beginning of a series about a hearing big sister connecting with her new Deaf baby sister through sign language, and the adventures that follow.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates on LouLou’s and on my book’s completion. And if anyone is ever up for babysitting my little ones to help give me a little writing headspace… my door is open!

📢 Project Update: LouLou’s Food Trailer Fundraiser

I’m excited to share an update on the progress of LouLou’s food trailer. Our next milestone is completing the electrical installation, which is projected to cost between $4,000–$5,000. To support this investment, I am preparing to launch fundraising efforts through the sales of my first children’s storybook.

As many of you know, I’ve been balancing the demands of raising teenagers, caring for two young children, and managing a busy home life. While this has required more time than anticipated, I am confident the book will be completed within the next two weeks. Once finalized, proceeds from the book’s sales will directly contribute to funding the trailer’s electrical work.

I am deeply grateful for your patience, encouragement, and continued support as I take these steps forward. Together, we can bring LouLou’s vision to life!!

Business Update – LouLou’s Milkshake & Waffles 🍦🧇

LouLou’s inching closer! Right now, we’re in the “waiting game” stage……..waiting on a licensed electrician to become available so we can get the full rundown and finally move forward. We can’t do much until that’s handled, but once it is, things will move fast.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to do our grand opening at Deafopia like I hoped ☹️ but Im still pushing ahead!

Once the electrical is done:
• Placement & installation of food equipment should only take a couple of days
• Plumbing will take just one day
• Welding LouLou’s entry door should take about two days

After that, it’s on to final inspections, permits, and the last few details. I am aiming to have everything finalized by the second week of July, with great hopes to bring LouLou’s in this smalll town the to Texas Deaf event! Crossing 👀 , legs & hair it’ll happen in time!

LouLou’s Update Time!

Hey sweet shake & waffle lovers – thought y’all deserved a little update!

We’ve officially gathered all the equipment we need (cue the confetti cannons)! Next up: we’ve got an electrician coming to give us the lowdown on getting everything wired up, then it’s on to plumbing, and finally – the big inspection. Insert dramatic drumroll here…

We are crossing eyes, legs, arms, and even waffle irons hoping it all goes smoothly and PASSES!

Why the rush? Because we’re aiming to make our very first event debut at Deafopia in Denver on June 7th! Eeeek! We can already envision the milkshakes blending and waffles sizzling.

Stay tuned – LouLou’s is so close to rollin’ sweet!n

Hey sweet fam! Just checking in to say we’re this close to bringing the goodness your way!

While we wait for the last of our equipment to arrive (so we can move forward with licensed electrical & plumbing work), we’re staying busy behind the scenes — taste testing menu items, finalizing flavors, and making sure every detail is just right for our big debut!

Permits, license fees, inspections — yeah, it’s a whole process… but SO worth it.

We’re pouring our hearts into this little trailer, and we can’t wait to share it with you once it’s all done!

After a meaningful chapter with my soap business, I’m officially closing that door to open a brand-new one: LouLou’s Milkshake & Waffles — launching in the summer, hopefully!!

It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m so grateful for your support along the way. Now, I’m pouring my heart into this new retro-inspired food business, created in memory of my sister. Think handcrafted milkshakes, waffles, and a whole lot of love — with Deaf-friendly ordering and sign language options to make it welcoming for everyone.

I hope you’ll stick with me through this exciting new start. Keep your eyes peeled — I’ll be sharing more updates soon, and I can’t wait to see you at the grand opening!
