Today’s special is cold cut sandwiches: Turkey club with a bag of chips.
We also have our deli sliced ham, turkey and chicken (house made) or our thick sliced bologna.

For dessert, also on the cool side for summer, is our refrigerator cake with cinnamon cookies, pineapple and cream topped with sour cherries and almond.

Stop in and see us if you’re out and about.

That was a nice cool down but it is time to mow again.
Heat is supposed to be up even more.

Menu plan:
Monday- Sweet and Spicy Dog- grilled hot dog with melt cream cheese topped with hot honey.
Tuesday- beans n taters with potato
Salad
Wednesday- chicken club sandwich with chips
Thursday- fried chicken plate special
Friday- fried catfish plate special
Saturday- specialty hot dog and chips for lunch.

Dessert:
Lemon bars, cinnamon roll muffins.

So just a preview of our lunch special tomorrow’s- Grilled cheese dog. 3 kinds of cheese, some crispy onions, all beef hot dog on a brioche bun with your choice of toppings. I’m a mustard and pickle relish person myself. We tried one today and it was pretty yummy😋

So breakfast menu til noon and lunch til 2 on Saturday.

I don’t know about you but I’m beat after the weekend. Cleaning and straightening today.

Menu plan:

Monday- no plate special but we will feature hot dogs as grill special this week. Garlic Parmesan Dog today. Roasted garlic and butter with tasted Parmesan. No bun, just a slice of bread. It toasts up nice with the garlic butter.
Tuesday- Beans n taters with cornbread. We have potato salad for the taters.
Wednesday- cold spaghetti pasta salad with fresh tomatoes and basil, potato salad and/or tuna salad.
Thursday-fried chicken plate special.
Friday- fried catfish plate special.
Saturday-no breakfast special but we will have hot dogs, chili dogs and grilled cheese dogs as lunch special.

Dessert: we have our refrigerator fruit cake with coconut glaze, lemon bars or brownie pie.

Stay cool and hope for an afternoon shower now and then.

🥵☀️Things are pretty quiet on these hot, muggy afternoons. We will be closing at 2pm Mon-Fri for July and first of August. No change on Saturdays- still 9-2. ☀️🥵

🎆🎆We are gearing up for 4th of July. 🎇🎇

At the Cafe we will have Hot Dogs for the lunch special.

Plain hot dog or chili cheese dog.
Upgrade to our ‘fancy dog’: Grilled cheese dog, Garlic Parmesan dog, Sweet and Spicy dog which has cream cheese and hot honey. All are all beef hot dogs and brioche buns. 🌭🌭

Lunch is 12noon to 2pm.

Then we will set up on 282 with a table with cold drinks, chips, brownie pie, mini donuts, lemon bars, wagon wheels and pork rinds. Look for our sign down by the bridge over Clear Creek. 🥤🥤

Welcome to a week of summer heat and humidity- shewwww- gonna be a hot one. Our a/c is working and you can help yourself to a cool drink if you need some relief.

Menu plan for the week:
Monday- pork chop plate special.
Tuesday- beans n taters with cornbread.
Wednesday- salad plate lunch special. Tuna salad, potato salad, BLT salad or German coleslaw.
Thursday- fried chicken plate special
Friday- fried catfish plate special
Saturday- Ashley will have some ‘fancy hot dogs’ for lunch. We’ll have wait and see what she comes up with.

Crystal and I will be at the fireworks in Mountainburg with cold sodas, chips and some sweets on Saturday evening. We’re thinking brownie pie, mini donuts, maybe some cookies. Look for us down close to the bridge on 282 on the left.
