In the past several weeks, we have been approached by several customers with the same legitimate concern: what is our position, in the foreseeable short term, concerning our menu prices due to the recent, and frequent, rise of costs of everything….from groceries to gas?

This might be a “bit risky” on our part, but we are making a pledge/guarantee to our customers/community:

Our prices from last year, last month, last week, will be the same for next week, next month, and into the next year!!

We believe a simple pleasure in life is to enjoy good pizza & a good time with family and friends without the stress of sticker shock every time people decide to go out and enjoy a meal at a restaurant.

We have been around for 53 years and are thankful for all of our patrons, and we believe that it’s the least we can try to do to perhaps make things a little easier for all of you !

Today, Great Bridge has lost a legend …

Stavros Giannakopoulos, known affectionately to so many as Mr. Steve, passed away peacefully this morning.

Mr. Steve, along with his brother-in-law, Greg, established Chesapeake Pizza in 1973.

Mr. Steve put his heart and soul into the restaurant, and it showed! Customers always came back, usually just to see him! He would greet everyone with his warm, generous smile and heart-felt laugh that was contagious, making everyone feel extra special and a part of the family.

His unmatched work ethic and the sacrifices he made for the restaurant are major contributing factors as to why Chesapeake Pizza is the local landmark that it is today.

He was a loving and dedicated husband, a devoted and caring father, a super-involved and doting grandfather, a fun and easy-going uncle, and a genuine friend to all who met him.

He will be greatly missed …

May his memory be eternal …
