We made a very tough decision this weekend. As of Monday Nov. 14, 2016 Plaid Melon is permanently closed.

All three of us want to thank everyone that supported us over the past 2 1/2 years. We made many new friends and were fortunate to find people that appreciated what we were trying to do.

We wish everyone the best.

And now, for something completely different! On October 17, we will be back with a whole new Plaid Melon.

Monday through Friday, you'll be able to carry out your very own Melon-made dinner. We'll be offering a new menu every week with familiar favorites and brand new dishes in the eclectic style you've come to expect. And of course, we'll feature a different soup and salad each week as well.

Due to staff shortage, Plaid Melon Cafe is currently closed.

It’s been an amazing two years, and the Gallinat family will be forever grateful for the support we’ve had from all of our customers and the Chelsea business community. For all of you who shared a meal - or many - with us, “thank you” seems inadequate for the opportunity to get to know you.

We are looking at options for what the new face of the Plaid Melon looks like, and you can expect an update soon.
