Meet the man who started it all, Anthony A.K.A Tony!
Born and raised in Tufo, Italy until the age of 9, Tony had a love for home cooking. Food brought family together and he learned from a young age how important it was to be surrounded by family and good food. Tony had a dream when he moved to America to bring his Italian roots to life in the form of an Italian deli. In 1973, That dream became a reality. Tony opened, what we all have come to know and love, The Center Deli. From the start he had his support system of family to help him through the challenges of running a buisness. He brought home cooking of Italian meals as well as fresh deli meats and sandwiches to the town of Chelmsford, MA. Since the start of Center Deli, Tony has prided himself on the values of a good meal and family being close together. Now over 50 years later, 4 Generations working together, Tony has created not only a staple in town but a legacy for his family to carry on. When you walk in the doors of Center Deli you’ll always be greeted with a smile and on occasion you’ll see the man himself with his favorite phrase as you walk in “Welcome Aboard!”.
