We're hiring a Head Baker. 🥖
Roasted Root Cafe is opening soon in Chattanooga, and we're looking for someone to build our bakery program from the ground up — not run someone else's playbook. You'd develop the pastry menu, create a savory breakfast and lunch menu, and lead a team, with real creative freedom to define what this place tastes like.
Everything is made from scratch, farm-to-table whenever possible, sourced from local farms wherever we can.
Head Baker | Full-Time | Chattanooga, TN
$48,000–$55,000 + PTO
What we're looking for:
• Degree in Pastry Arts, Baking & Pastry, or Culinary Arts with a pastry focus — or equivalent professional training
• 3+ years professional baking or pastry experience, leadership preferred
• Strong with artisan breads, laminated doughs, cakes, and desserts
• Able to scale recipes for large production
• ServSafe certified
• Early mornings, weekends, some holidays and evening events
• Able to stand 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
