The good news? We’ve been keeping a close eye on the radar, and it looks like the rain should be moving out by 6:30-7:00 PM.
We’ve had a lot of people asking why we didn’t move tonight’s Nightfall to First Horizon Pavilion with rain in the forecast.
The short answer? It’s not quite as simple as making that decision the morning of.
Because this is a holiday weekend and we’re building a full concert production from the ground up—including the stage, lighting, sound, power, and more—we had to begin staging equipment at Miller Park last Sunday. At that time, the forecast showed only about a 20% chance of rain, so we made the call to move forward with Miller Park.
These decisions are never made lightly. There are countless moving parts behind the scenes, an incredible production crew, vendors, artists, partners, and weeks of planning that all have to come together to make Nightfall happen.
Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and—most importantly—your continued support. Producing a FREE concert series like Nightfall for our community takes an incredible team and a whole lot of heart, and we’re grateful to everyone who comes out week after week to make it all worthwhile.
