After many questions about Sullivan’s closing, we’ve decided to reach out and explain our situation to you.. First of all, we are so grateful to all of you for giving us your support these past 7 years. We have gained many acquaintances and friends from not only Washington county but surrounding counties as well, including several from Mississippi. We wouldn’t have survived without all of you! However, we went into this knowing we were signing a contract to lease and was taking the risk of a bigger business possibly moving in. The owner offered to relocate us but after praying about it and the fact that we’re not getting any younger, we chose not to reopen. We had prayed someone much younger and looking for opportunity to have a successful business would come to us but God didn’t answer in that way. We’re firm believers that all things work together for good though! The owner has been very apologetic and cooperative with us so we ask for everyone not to have ill feelings about it.. It’s so humbling and gratifying and admittedly sad also for us that everyone is upset that we’re closing because we can truthfully say we have put our heart and soul into making it be a place you could come to for a nice family atmosphere and good food. John will still be managing Rameys and I will be home managing grandkids! lol We and our family thank you so much for making Sullivan’s a successful restaurant. We will miss you! Our last week of operation will be February 24th,25th and 26th.
