❤️ THANK YOU, CAPE COD.
Last night reminded us what an incredible community we have.
Because of your generosity, patience and support, Codo was filled with people who came together for something much bigger than dinner. Every meal, every donation, every share and every kind word made a difference.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who came out to support our two J-1 students as they continue recovering from this tragic accident. They still have a long road ahead.
As a reminder, 100% of the proceeds from last night’s fundraiser will go directly toward expenses related to their recovery. This includes medical costs not covered by insurance, rehabilitation, essential living expenses while they’re unable to work and other recovery-related needs.
Much of the available insurance coverage has already been exhausted and they still have a long road to recovery ahead. As new challenges and expenses continue to arise, every dollar raised will be carefully allocated to help support their recovery and ease the financial burden along the way.
To ensure everything is handled thoughtfully and responsibly, the funds will be overseen by a small group dedicated to reviewing and allocating support where it’s needed most. Our focus is to make sure every dollar goes directly toward helping these students through their recovery in the most meaningful and appropriate way.
No amount of money can undo what happened or erase what they’ve been through. The goal is simply to help ease the financial burden so they can focus on healing.
One of the most touching parts of this fundraiser was seeing so many local businesses ask, “How can we help?” A heartfelt thank you to Chatham Candy Manor Chatham Candy Manor for donating candy platters for the fundraiser and to everyone who found their own way to support these two students. This is what community is all about. ❤️
To everyone who waited for a table, ordered takeout, donated, shared our posts or simply showed your support—thank you. You reminded two young people who are more than 5,000 miles from their families that they are not alone.
From all of us at Codo, thank you for showing what community truly looks like. ❤️
