LW's Livery Stable Located in Historic Downtown Mall Charlottesville, Virginia, LW's Livery Stable offers a cozy atmosphere, local brews, creative cocktails and pub fare.

In 1849, LW Cox acquired a triangular piece of property at the foot of Vinegar Hill. Originally intended for his home, the property later came to house a livery stable and carriage works. After undergoing several transitions, the property became the site of The A&P Grocery Store in 1939 with its former compressor room area known as LW’s Livery StableTM today. Eventually after The A&P , the propert

y was turned into commercial retail space. In 2010, a modern version was born. LW’s Livery StableTM is a place to come and relax with friends & enjoy upscale pub fare. We sought to create a welcoming, comfortable environment with mementos from our family knowing full well our great grandfather would be a proud, and frequent costumer. This was a carriageworks called Cox’s carriages, my great grandfather, LW built luxury carriages for all the politicians in DC if you didn’t have a Cox carriage, you were nobody,… my great grandfather LW built in 1889 LWs Livery Stable sat right next to it.. they tour the original barn down to build what was 218 W. market which was Artful Loger and in the basement of course the youngest grandson Ian built a bar called LW’s Livery Stable.. so long old friend

Koda and Marie are bringing a special end of summer show to Potter's Craft Cider on 9.3! Good buddy Matthew McAllister is in tow and you can even get a fresh cut bouquet of Nelson County flowers arranged by Marie herself! The show will be held in the beautiful chapel room, space is limited to hop to it!
