Hello to all of our friends. Just to let you know we have put trying to find a new location on a brief hold. On Friday we lost the REAL boss of the Diner, our lovely Lady. She was almost 15 and had been in declining health, but we were still not ready for her to go, and it has shook Sal and I to the core. Many of you had met Lady and knew what a gem she was. There will be a proper tribute to her on my personal page - Virginia Greek. Sal and I miss our regulars and hope that the right place will present itself soon. Thank you for all your friendship, love, and support. 🙏💖

Sharing the sad news that most of you know by now. This Sunday, January 30th, will be the last day that Cavalier Diner will be serving Charlottesville's best breakfast. Sal and Risty, and the entire staff, are saddened and stunned by this sudden development, and hope to find a new location soon. We thank each and everyone of you who has supported us over these last 12 years, and look forward to serving you again in the near future. We couldn't have done it without you, and we will miss you - our friends, regulars, and guests. Gosh we met so many wonderful people over our dozen years, unforgettable people, and we love you. Thank you Charlottesville, thank you all so very much.

Cavalier Diner, thanks to head waitress/interior decorater Melinda Woodson is definitely in the Christmas spirit! It hasn't been an ideal year, for anyone, but we have made the best of it and are appreciative and so thankful for our staff, friends, and regulars. This will be our first Christmas without our dear friend Tom Hurlburt, but he is in our minds and hearts. Melinda even set up a little tribute to him with his favorite colored poinsettia! Hope to see everyone this week as you do your last minute shopping - stop in for breakfast or lunch!

Cavalier Diner is Hiring! Cavalier Diner is looking for some awesome staff to join us in the kitchen and front of house! We are seeking motivated, outgoing, reliable, and skilled individuals who are willing to always do what's needed to get the job done!

Weekends are required. Day shift only, no nights! Currently looking for full or part time servers, full or part time line/short order cooks, part-time dishwasher, and weekend host/hostess.

Ideal candidates would enjoy working in a casual, fast paced mom and pop diner, love people, have a heart for hospitality, able to multitask, and a willingness to put it another gear on weekends.
