Crustworthy Pizza

We lost someone very special this past week and far too soon. Walker joined the Crustworthy team back in 2023 and instantly made a profound and positive impact on all of us. He was funny, kind and always had a big grin on his face. There was always an entourage of people that would show up when he was working. Walker was the kind of kid that people wanted to be around. He was an amazing storyteller and his depth of musical knowledge was unparalleled for a 19-year-old. It was so nice having someone on the team that knew all of my obscure gems from the 90’s.

Our hearts go out to his parents, family and friends. It’s absolutely tragic that he’s gone so early in his life, but it’s amazing to see and feel the impact that he made in the lives of those that were lucky enough to call him a friend. We love you Walker and you will be missed.

We wanted to highlight our newest partner . It doesn't get much more important than the firewood for a wood-fired pizza business! The kiln-dried triple split oak supplied by Travis & his team has performed extremely well in our oven and they have been truly amazing to work with. I couldn’t be more proud of these three amazing young men who just finished up their studies at UVA this past spring. Ian and Montgomery have been part of the Crustworthy team since our day one back in May 2022 and Alec joined us two months later. We’ve worked together through massive lightning storms at weddings, intense summer heat out at the wineries, snow and below freezing temps at pop-ups and everything in between. All three of these guys are truly remarkable and I’m so fortunate to have had them on this team and to call them my friends. We would not be here today without their dedication, support and camaraderie. Congratulations you guys and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of you 🍕♥️
