And just like that…one last official Sweet Boutique Bakery cake. ❤️

I can’t think of a sweeter way to finish 13 years of SBB than making this one for my grandson.

Happy 7th Birthday Simon! 🪵🪚

Simon loves woodworking and is convinced if he sets up a roadside wood shop, people will stop and buy his creations. So of course he needed a Simon’s Wood Shop cake this year. 😊

So many fun details on this one—trees, lumber, birdhouse, saw, kindling splitter, nails and lots of sawdust. The little bench on the side is a fondant version of one Simon made for my patio because “the kids need somewhere to sit.” ❤️

Simon carefully checked out all the details. His favorite was the mallet handle because “it’s so real.” My favorite comment was, “How did you make everything so perfectly?” 🥰

And doesn’t every 7-year-old split timber at his birthday party? 😂

Congratulations, Jackson! 🎓💚

So proud of my son-in-law on earning his Master’s degree!

And of course, a celebration calls for his forever-favorite cake — Vegan Pistachio. 💚 This cake is incredibly delicious, and one of my favorite things was hearing everyone at the party say they couldn’t believe it was vegan!

Congratulations on such a wonderful accomplishment, Jackson! We are so proud of you! 🎓

6 days to retirement… and a little trip back to 2014. ❤️

Of the thousands of cakes I’ve made over the years, this little magician’s cake always held a special place in my heart because it was my mom’s favorite cake I ever made.

I’ve created much larger cakes, more elaborate cakes and cakes that challenged me in every possible way—but there was just something about that little bunny popping out of the hat that she loved. 🐰🎩

As I enter my final week of Sweet Boutique Bakery, I’m finding myself looking back at cakes differently. They aren’t just pictures of cakes anymore. They remind me of the people, the conversations and the memories attached to them.

Six days to go. So many sweet memories. ❤️

One of the sweetest parts of Sweet Boutique Bakery has always been creating with my family. 💕

For her 9th birthday, Hadley wanted to be part of it all! She made the fresh strawberry cake layers and Oreo mousse, and perfected just the right shade of pink buttercream. I put the cake together, then Hadley took over the decorating—including making her sweet Charley for the top. 🐾🎂

And she didn’t stop there! Hadley made all the little roses, leaves and gold hearts for the petit fours, too.

After 13 years of creating cakes for so many special celebrations, getting to share what I love with my granddaughter might just be one of the sweetest parts of all. 💗

Three weeks. ❤️

It’s hard to believe that three weeks from today, I’ll be making my last official Sweet Boutique Bakery cake.

For 13 years, I’ve had the privilege of being invited into so many of your celebrations—birthdays, weddings, baby showers, graduations, anniversaries and all of those wonderful “just because” moments in between.

As these final weeks get closer, I’m finding myself slowing down just a little and taking it all in. Every cake on my schedule now feels a little more special knowing there are only so many left to make.

My calendar is completely full through retirement, and I’m so grateful for that. What a gift it is to finish this chapter doing exactly what I’ve loved doing all these years.

Three more weeks of flour, buttercream, fondant, late nights…and making something sweet for someone’s special day. 🎂

A whole little camping adventure for a first birthday—complete with a woodland campsite, rocky stream, canoe, campfire and plenty of trees.

Some people pass down recipes.

I hope to pass down joy. ❤️

Every cake has always meant a little more to me than flour, butter, and sugar.

It has been time spent together. Little hands learning. Big smiles. Birthday traditions. Lessons passed from one generation to the next.

Every one of our grandchildren has worn the same little chef’s hat when they were about six months old.

It started as a fun photo.

Now those same little chefs are helping frost cakes, choosing inspiration for their next birthday cake months in advance, measuring ingredients, asking questions, and discovering that creating something for someone they love is one of life’s greatest gifts.

Sweet Boutique Bakery has never just been about butter, sugar, and flour.

It’s about celebrating life’s biggest moments.

It’s about gathering around the table.

It’s about making memories that last long after the last slice is gone.

If one day these little hands grow up to bake for the people they love, I’ll know I’ve passed along something much sweeter than a recipe.

As I begin my final season at Sweet Boutique Bakery, I’m especially grateful for every family who has trusted me to be part of their celebrations over the past 12 years.
